Question for non tippers.?

Why is it that you people who never tip you're servers at restaurants are usually the ones that run them back and forth to and from their table like dogs playing fetch? You come in knowing you are not going to tip but see to it that your server spends a majority of their time catering to you. A servers main income is their tips, so do you honestly think it is fair that you run them ragged and keep their attention off of the people who actually do tip them? This question is directed to people who never tip regardless of the service they get. Not the ones that don't tip due to bad service. That's understandable.

You are forgetting that a tip is a gift -- it's not mandatory. You have to accept the fact that some people are not going to tip, and other people will leave you big tips. It all evens out. Because it's up to your customers. You are at their mercy. If you don't like that arrangement, then you do have to go elsewhere, or you're always going to be complaining -- to no avail. Sorry. I don't want to leave a tip!

WOW these people are crazy! If can't afford to tip and want to wait on yourself then DON'T go to a sit down restaurant, fool! Yea, the people at McDonald's never get tips because they get a paycheck! My paycheck is ZERO dollars every other week, around $10 if I'm lucky. Not only do servers need to be tipped for their service, but they also have to tip out on food and alcohol. If you come out to eat and don't tip, I still have to tip out 3% of your food price and 5% of alcohol, which means I am paying to serve you! I don't work for free! Stop being cheap and leave a freaking tip!!

Sir/Madam... I retired 3 years ago after 25 years in the restaurant industry... from server to owner... Last year I picked up a server job in a very high-end restaurant in Orlando, Florida..... Just something to get me out of the house... I average over 25percent... Now dont get me wrong...but if you wait in a crappy place..youre going to wait on crappy people... not being offensive,,but try and get more experience in food and wine etc etc...and get a job in a highend place....it wont happen...at least it wont happen often... I wish you the best of luck..

And,,,,honestly....after this much time in restaurants....some people just dont care... they are either just shitty people...or they are misinformed about how a server performs his/her job.....

Grandpa, you have in no way been to my homestead! I continually tip the transport individual!! those pizza places comprehend that, and that i'm getting my nutrition piping warm! yet! this is a few thing you may desire to look at. First, not pointing out the call of the pizza joint, they could desire to be supplying you with some style of income and mileage for utilising your very own automobile. you could take the mileage off your earnings tax in the event that they don't which comprise placed on and tear of the vehicle. i comprehend you may desire to hold your very own coverage too! interior the previous couple of weeks, we've observed the cost of the pizza has long gone up! To pickup on the save, working example (not ultimate quantity) you pay $10 over-the-counter, to have the comparable pizza further the cost ought to in all probability bypass up 4 or 5 funds! WHO could desire to be getting that funds? I say, the motive force! i don't have confidence it expenses the pizza place that extremely extra to make one! They purchase their stuff wholesale, or in bulk! they could desire to be paying you adult adult males a minimum of minimum salary, and any ideas you get could desire to guard the wear and tear of your automobile! in case you may desire to sit down on the save, waiting for somebody to ask for a transport, you may desire to get some style of reimbursement! in point of fact, you're giving some time to this save for unfastened. What they could desire to do is, permit you artwork interior the save and then bypass out and furnish! do not blame the owner of a house for not tipping you. whilst those pizza joints raised the charges, they are putting the money of their wallet, not yours! you could earn extra funds being a field boy at a food market!

Well I do tip, but don't belive I should.

Your EMPLOYER should be paying you. We come in to eat and pay for out food. I don't care if I have a waitress. I can go simply pick up a plate of food and re fill a cup of soda myself. If you want to complain to someone about the amount of money you make then you should have a talk with your boss. Maybe you should recommend resturaunts that ask if you would like to have a waitress in the first place and be required to give you a tip and for the ones who don't be seated somewhere separately and can wait on theirselves.

Tips are not required whether you rely on them to make a living or not. A tip is a gift. You should be greatful when you do get them. Not everyone can afford 5 extra dollars everytime they eat. They have to have money also. You are not the only person on the planet.

My advice is get a new job.

God, what a blast of crappy answers. I LOVE that they think they can get their own plate of food. That negates the whole dining experience. If that's what they wanna do- go to Wendy's.

But, it's true, you need to get a better class of people. Focus on a PRIVATELY OWNED steakhouse, and apply every 6weeks. You will eventually be hired, with the experience you now have. Out of 5 girls, ONE might get stiffed about every other week.

Good luck to you.

I agree with both of them. If you want to make couple hundred a night, you need to get a job at fine dining but you need to know alot about wines. I served before and I understand how frustrating it is when someone doesn't tip. Get over it! There are people working at McDonalds that NEVER get tipped. Maybe you should get a job where your income doesn't rely on tips. That's why I stopped serving.

I love my dogs, are you remedial? People that work at McDonald's do not make 2.13 an hour. That is why they do not get tipped.
