I prefer The Olive Garden. As for portion size in relation to price. I can say I have found both to be okay. They start you off with soup or salad and garlic breadsticks. The salad is enormous and comes dressed with their own house Italian. You get a choice of soups. I usually get salad. But if I get soup, I like the Toscana soup best. As for the main courses. I have always found the portions to be too much. I have never left the Olive Garden without a box of leftovers.

Olive Garden's prices are not too high compared to other places. Plus you get all you can eat free salad/soup and awesome breadsticks when you purchase any entree. I would recommend checking out both OG and Red Lobster's menus online and see which place has more choices you might like. Red Lobster has good food but is pricier than the OG. RL is a more relaxed atmosphere, whereas the OG seems a little nicer, even though it's not by any means fancy. They're both yummy!! I'd probably choose the OG.

Red lobster, I think a lot of the italian food I make is better than Olive Gardens, it's easy to make knock offs of their food that taste just as good, but Red Lobster food is a little harder to achieve.

Olive Garden! They do not give smaller portions. They are expensive, but so is Red Lobster. Enjoy eating at both places!

Olive Garden. Better tasting food. And the complimentary salad and breadsticks are a plus. Even though the biscuits at RL are good I love the breadsticks from OG a whole lot better.

Olive Garden is definitely the best. I go there at least once a week. And with the all you can eat salad and bread sticks the portions are good. If you go there for supper they will give you the dinner menus with are a bigger portion and cost more, but you can always ask for the lunch portion which is smaller and cheaper to order.

They are both mediocre. To say Olive Garden has small portions is absurd. I have never finished my meal there, not to mention that you get bread and salad or soup with your meal.

Red lobster is okay. Everything tastes the same. Go to a local non-corporate restaurant. You'll enjoy it a lot more!

Olive Garden... I'm more of an Italian food fan :) The portions are pretty large, though!

properly Olive backyard isn't THAT undesirable - besides the fact that that's noisy (like maximum franchise places) yet, as for purple Lobster I easily are transforming into to be unwell there (and undesirable provider there) such a number of situations we do exactly no longer circulate there anymore. If out on a romantic date? lots nicer going to a pair small candy and quiet out of how mom/pop eating place than a huge noisy franchise.

That is a tough call.

Olive garden has so many like breads and starches.

But I think I'm going with Red Lobster.

I could just eat the biscuits.

Hands down, Red Lobster. Unlike OG, you'll get so much food for your money, there's no way you'll finish it all there. However, I don't think I would recommend taking left overs home if you won't eat them soon, as they will get stinky quick.

Both are nice places. I like Red Lobster's free biscuits.

Olive Garden

Just because I am a big pasta nut. Plus they have just the right kinds of seafood i'll eat, such as shrimp.

Olive garden! I love the salad and breadsticks, I could fill up on those. My husband and I always split and entree, and there is plenty.

I tend to go to Olive Garden more. Weird they are like right across from each other or nearby each other all the time...
